Unfolding My Story
My journey into photography began with a spark of curiosity and the guidance of my grandpa. At my mother’s wedding, he handed me his camera and let me assist him as he captured the day. With his encouragement, I took a few shots myself, and seeing the moments we had preserved together sparked something in me. From that day on, I couldn’t put the camera down.
Over the years, I’ve explored various genres of photography—landscape, street, and portrait. Each taught me something unique and brought me immense joy. During secondary school, I channelled this passion into documenting events, honing my skills while capturing memories. But no field captivated me as much as product photography.
There’s a quiet power in telling stories through inanimate objects, and I found myself drawn to capturing the essence of the things around me. Mice, keyboards, headphones—anything within reach became a subject for my lens. The turning point came when I photographed a NES controller illuminated by a single lightbulb. It was then I realised product photography was my true calling.
Since co-founding The Key Source this year, I’ve refined my craft, focusing on keyboards and the stories they hold. Through thoughtful lighting and composition, I aim to bring products to life, showcasing their beauty and narrative potential.
Photography isn’t just about the image—it’s about what it evokes. And for me, The quiet images, are the loudest.
